PHILIP KEMP PASSED AWAY

Brother Philip Kemp passed away on May 18, 2009. From the Dallas Morning News: Philip K. Kemp Jr. Kemp, Philip K. Jr. 81, of Dallas, TX, died May 18, 2009. Born April 9, 1928 in Glendale, CA, to Philip Kitterage Kemp and Margaret Church Kemp. Phil was a graduate of Texas Tech University, B.A. 1949, was a computer programmer until he retired, was a member of Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church, and was a resident of Dallas since 1951 after moving to Texas in 1935. Phil had a love for long distance running and participated in numerous marathons, including a marathon on the Big Island of Hawaii. He is survived by his sister Margaret K. O'Connell of Tucson, AZ, his brother James F. Kemp, M.D. of Fresno, CA, 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Service will be Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 12:00 noon, at Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church, 4333 Cole Avenue, Dallas, TX 75205. Memorial contributions may be made to Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in memory of Philip K. Kemp, Jr.
