FROM THE EAST - OCTOBER

By Ben Gilley - Posted on 13 October 2011

October is firmly upon us, and I hope the fall weather finds you all well. Hillcrest Lodge continues its labors, and will be very busy in the upcoming months as we continue our Masonic and philanthropic duties into the holiday season.

Our Stated Meeting this month will be conducted in the Entered Apprentice degree for the purpose of hearing the proficiency exam of one of our Entered Apprentice Masons. Additionally, we should have a petition for the degrees to be read in Lodge this month.

This Saturday, October 15th, A few lodge officers and members will be going through our storage unit (Abrams Skillman Self Storage) to retrieve some of our secretarial supplies, past masters pictures, and ritualistic accoutrements. Love Field Lodge has recently made available to us some additional storage space which we hope to make use of to alleviate the clutter in our current office.

At our November Stated Meeting, R.W. Elmer Murphey, III will offer a full review of the proposed Grand Lodge Resolutions and Grand Master’s Recommendations which will be brought before Grand Lodge this December.

I hope this finds you all well, and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this month’s Stated Meeting.

S&F,
Ben Gilley
Worshipful Master
