FROM THE EAST - MAY

By JasonBunnell - Posted on 01 May 2010

For those of you that missed our April Stated Meeting, we were honored with the visit of our District Deputy Grand Master, R.W.: Mike Biddler. I thank all of you who helped in our preparations to receive our DDGM and were there to hear the Grand Master’s message. As to relocation discussions, we are moving to a point where these considerations will hopefully not dominate our efforts and gatherings. As this is being written, there are still some open issues but these should shortly be resolved, in one manner or another. We will be keeping everyone informed as to status, but I am now hopeful we can return to focusing on more normal Lodge business and other Masonic matters at our Stated Meetings and weekly gatherings.

To that point, I would encourage those of you who need to brush the dust off your ritual work to join us at Love Field each Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. We are continuing to gather each week but note the starting time is a little earlier than our monthly stated meeting time to help us get home to our families or back to other pressing matters at a reasonable hour. We fortunately have received some recent interest in Hillcrest and if things go as expected we should shortly be conferring at least one Entered Apprentice Degree. Once it is scheduled, and rest assured we will give ample notice of the date, I would encourage everyone in the area to consider coming down and supporting the Candidate and Hillcrest’s team. For those of you who have not been to Lodge recently, you would be proud of the excellent work being done by a dedicated group of young Masons who now comprise significant roles in our Degree Teams. Their work continues to honor our fraternity and Hillcrest Lodge. Please consider joining us.
As always, I would hope many of you can join us at our upcoming Stated Meeting in May. I guarantee who will be rewarded with a fine meal and great fellowship. If you need directions or help with transportation, as always please let us know if we can be of assistance.
Sincerely and Fraternally,

Gregg Yates
Worshipful Master
