FROM THE EAST - JULY

As the sun has set on yet another Masonic year and we are all wondering how they go by faster and faster, a new day arises. As Worshipful Master-Elect, I am proud to have been given the honor to serve all of you and Hillcrest Lodge for the next 12 short months. I will never be able to explain the gratitude I have for the confidence you have bestowed upon me and in my abilities for the responsibilities that are to come.

I sincerely hope all of our brothers who receive this Beacon and are within a reasonable distance to our current and temporary location at Love Field Lodge, will make it out to our July stated meeting. We will have a demonstration of the new Hillcrest website provided by our communication committee, which will include an overview of site functionality, and member account creation for anyone who would like to start participating, contributing, and interacting on it. We will also be going over the plans for the year "at a glance," and discussing options for additional activities for our social and charity committees to work on.

Again brethren, let me thank you for the responsibility that you have entrusted me with. I am looking forward to working together to make this an exceptional year for our fraternity and for Hillcrest!
