BURNS NIGHT BANQUET
The Dallas Knights of St Andrew are proud to host the 2011 Burn’s Night Banquet benefiting the Dallas Scottish Rite Library and Museum. HILLCREST CHRISTMAS PARTY
Brother Ken Knotts will be hosting the Hillcrest Annual Christmas Party. The party will be held on Saturday, December 18th, from 7:00 - 9:30 PM. His address is 10158 Coveridge Drive, Dallas, Texas 75238. Heavy hors d'oeuvre's, drinks, and deserts will be served. Suggested donation will be $10 per person. ENTERED APPRENTICE DEGREE

MITCHELL THORNTON RAISED TO A MASTER MASON
On November 20th, 2010 Mitchell Thornton was raised to the degree of a Master Mason. Mitch is a professor of Computer Science and Engineering at SMU. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at Oklahoma State University and his PhD at Southern Methodist University.
HELP SUPPORT RICHARD JOHNSON AND SCOTTISH RITE HOSPITAL
Richard Johnson, a member of Hillcrest Lodge #1318, will be running in the Dallas White Rock Marathon. For 14 years, Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital has been the primary beneficiary of the Dallas White Rock Marathon. Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital treats Texas children with orthopedic conditions such as scoliosis, hand disorders, hip disorders, clubfoot and limb length differences as well as certain related neurological disorders and learning disorders, such as dyslexia, at no charge to patient families. Support through events like the marathon allows the hospital to continue to provide the highest quality medical care to Texas children. Help support Richard Johnson and the Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital.
ROBERT VIVONA HAS A NEW SON!
Robert Vivona has a new son! Luke Vivona weighed in at 7 lbs 14 oz and is 20 1/2 inches long. Luke, Mom, and Dad are all doing well. Robert Vivona served as Chaplain of our lodge during the 2007-2008 Masonic year.
FROM THE EAST - OCTOBER
It has come to the time of the year to start talking about the economics and finances of the lodge. While we have done well with our investments, we do have a pressing issue on the horizon. We are currently not taking in any income from the Grand Lodge endowment investment, and to compound things, we are going to start experiencing a higher yearly member fee to Grand Lodge. These things put together our annual operating budget on a thin line.
